Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using Voco ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Voco HQ LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Voco," "we," "us," or "our"), at vocohq.com.

2. What Voco Is

Voco is an AI-powered interview practice platform. The Service allows you to:

Upload your resume and a job description to create a personalized practice context
Conduct simulated practice interviews with an AI interviewer named Aria via text or voice
Receive scored feedback, transcript analysis, model answers, and improvement suggestions
Track your practice performance over time

Voco is a personal practice and self-improvement tool. It is not an employment service, staffing agency, job placement platform, career counseling service, or professional advisory service. Nothing in the Service constitutes professional career, legal, or employment advice.

Voco is not used in hiring. Our platform is not provided to employers, recruiters, or any third party for use in screening, evaluating, or making decisions about job candidates.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Voco. By using the Service, you confirm you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Account Registration

4.1 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information at registration and to keep it updated.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@vocohq.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4.3 Individual Use

Each account is for a single individual's personal use. You may not share your account or credentials with others.

5. Acceptable Use

Your use of Voco is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key restrictions include:

You may not use Voco or its AI-generated outputs to make or inform employment decisions about any person
You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits
You may not use automated tools to interact with the Service
You may not attempt to extract, manipulate, or reverse engineer our AI systems

6. AI-Generated Content and Limitations

6.1 Practice Tool Only

AI-generated questions, feedback, scores, and model answers are for personal practice purposes only. They are not professional career advice, employment guidance, psychological assessment, or any form of regulated professional service.

6.2 AI Limitations

AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or contextually inappropriate outputs. Voco's feedback may not reflect the standards of any particular employer, industry, or role. You should not rely on Voco's output as a substitute for professional guidance or treat scores as authoritative assessments of your abilities.

6.3 No Employment Guarantee

Use of Voco does not guarantee any particular outcome in a real job interview or employment process.

6.4 No Employment Decision-Making

Voco's AI evaluations are for self-practice only. They are expressly not designed, validated, or intended for use in employment screening or decision-making.

6.5 EU AI Act Notice

AI systems used in employment decisions are classified as high-risk under the EU AI Act (Annex III). Voco is a personal practice tool and does not constitute a high-risk employment AI system. Users are prohibited from using Voco outputs for employment decision-making.

6.6 No AI Training on Your Data

We do not use your uploaded content, transcripts, or AI-generated outputs to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model.

7. Subscriptions and Payment

7.1 Free Tier

Voco offers a free tier with limited functionality. Free tier limits may change with reasonable advance notice.

7.2 Pro Subscription

A monthly recurring subscription billed until cancelled.

Price: $19.00 USD per month
Up to 30 interviews per week
Up to 20 questions per session
Full feature access

By subscribing, you authorize recurring monthly charges to your payment method until cancellation.

7.3 Access Pass

A one-time purchase providing 90 days of full Pro-equivalent access.

Price: $39.00 USD
Valid for 90 days from purchase date
Non-recurring; no automatic renewal
Renewable after expiry

7.4 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.

7.5 Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By providing payment information, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We do not store your payment card details.

7.6 Taxes

Listed prices exclude applicable taxes. You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your purchase.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

8.1 Pro Subscription

Cancel anytime through account settings or by emailing hello@vocohq.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Access continues until that date. We do not issue partial-month refunds.

8.2 Access Pass

Full refund available within 3 days of purchase if you have completed fewer than 2 interviews. No refunds are available outside this window. Email hello@vocohq.com to request a refund.

8.3 Account Deletion

Deleting your account cancels any active Pro subscription at the end of the current billing period. Access Pass purchases are non-refundable upon account deletion outside the refund window above.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Property

The Voco platform, software, AI systems, brand, design, and content we create are owned by Voco and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you upload, including resumes and job descriptions. By uploading content, you grant Voco a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you. You represent that you have the right to upload such content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights. This license ends when you delete your account or the relevant content.

9.3 AI-Generated Output

Model answers, feedback, and other AI-generated content are provided for your personal practice use. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit AI-generated outputs from Voco.

9.4 No Training on Your Data

We do not use your uploaded content or AI-generated outputs to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models.

10. Privacy

Your use of Voco is subject to our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. Service Availability

We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, infrastructure issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from service interruptions.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire Service with reasonable advance notice where practicable.

12. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR APPROPRIATE FOR YOUR SITUATION, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED. AI OUTPUTS ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL ADVICE AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS SUCH.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VOCO HQ LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO VOCO IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR (B) $50 USD. EU CONSUMERS MAY HAVE STATUTORY RIGHTS THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Voco HQ LLC from any claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) content you upload; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.

15. Termination

15.1 By You

Delete your account at any time via Settings → Billing → Delete Account.

15.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, fraudulent or abusive behavior, or other reasons with reasonable notice where practicable. For serious violations we may terminate without notice.

15.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends. Sections 9, 12, 13, 14, and 17 survive termination.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, except where superseded by applicable federal law.

Informal Resolution: Before initiating any formal dispute, contact us at hello@vocohq.com and attempt informal resolution for at least 30 days.

Arbitration: Unresolved disputes shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in English.

Class Action Waiver: All disputes must be brought individually. You waive any right to participate in class action proceedings.

Exceptions: Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court for intellectual property violations or unauthorized data access.

EU Consumers: You may also have the right to bring claims before the courts of your country of residence. EU mandatory consumer protection laws apply where they cannot be contractually excluded. You may submit complaints to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

17. General

Entire Agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Voco regarding the Service
Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, remaining provisions continue in full force
No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver
Assignment: You may not assign your rights without our consent. We may assign our rights freely, including in a sale or transfer of the business
Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control
Language: These Terms are in English. In case of conflict with any translation, the English version prevails
